Fall is coming, and while this may depress some of the summer lovers out there, there are plenty of reasons to visit Albuquerque in the coming months. From music festivals to wine tasting events, there’s something for just about everyone to enjoy.
ABQ Corks & Brews
Love a good wine or beer? Come to the ABQ Corks & Brews event right in the heart of downtown Albuquerque. You can enjoy a wide variety of craft beers and wines, and pair them with artisanal chocolate to enhance the flavor and enthrall the senses. You can choose to drink responsibly and take in the beautiful sites of the city, or maybe going overboard is your thing. Regardless, the ABQ Corks & Brews event is fun for any kind of drinker.
The event takes place on October 3, and admission is a reasonable $25.
The Albuquerque Grecian Festival
From October 2-4, you can get a taste of culture at the Albuquerque Grecian Festival, where you’ll be transported to Greece right from within New Mexico. The event will feature a live Greek band, authentic Greek food, and plenty of dancers donning the costumes of Old World Greece. This event will also take place in the middle of the Downtown area, and admission is $5.
The 3rd Annual Albuquerque American Indian Arts Festival
Native American art is among the best you’ll find in Albuquerque, and the 3rd Annual Albuquerque American Indian Arts Festival celebrates the hundreds of Native artists who produce both traditional and contemporary pieces. At this festival you’ll see artwork in various mediums such as paintings, drawings, pottery and sculptures, among others. Throughout the two days the event takes place, families can enjoy entertainment, food, dances and more at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in addition to the artwork.
The festival will take place on October 3-4, and admission is $6 for adults, $5.50 for seniors, and $3 for kids and students.
Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta
The world-renowned Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is known for its huge entertainment factor among kids and adults of all ages. You can see hundreds of hot air balloons take to the sky every October, where many guests from all over the world will show off their balloons.
You can attend this event from October 3-11, and admission costs a measly $8.
